Summer is on its way out, so here are some happy headlines to brighten your day!

Lee Dillon, Newbury MP, came to visit our newly developed service on Newtown Road.

The site has had a big redevelopment, and now the accommodation is organised in clusters that promote clients’ independence and autonomy.

Lee met clients Gary and Ashleigh who, after sharing some tea and cupcakes, gave him a tour of the new clusters and kitchen facilities. They talked about how the design has had a positive impact on their life skills, and their autonomy around their daily routines.

A long-serving Two Saints supporter is hitting headlines after being nominated for a special award.

Billy Shannon is a well-known face at our service in Portsmouth, where he has been delivery food and treats to clients for more than eight years.

Now, his years of hard volunteering work are being recognised as he was nominated for a community award from BBC Radio Solent.

Billy is a pensioner, and in his free time he runs a project called HUSH (Help Us Support Homeless). He personally delivers food packages to clients in and around the Portsmouth area.

Radio reporter Saffron Finch visited the service to speak to Billy and to members of staff about the support he has offered over the past eight years.

Our service in Portsmouth very kindly decided to let central services decorate a display board which was inspired by the prompt of ‘post-it reveries.’

The staff at central services got together to work on the board over coffee and biscuits, it was such a fun and relaxing activity that helped us to reset our brains before the workday ahead.

A special acknowledgement goes out to Kathy, our asset management co-ordinator, who put in a massive amount of effort into filling out the board with some incredibly creative artwork.

The team visited the service to drop the board off, where client Harry rated it a solid 9/10. We’ll aim for top marks next time!

The fabulous team at our Wokingham young people’s service organised an afternoon tea celebration of 25 years of Two Saints.

Everyone had a great time chatting and playing games together.

Here are some lovely photos from the event – amazing job team!

Our services were making the most of the last warm weather, and hosted lots of barbeques!

Some clients in Portsmouth sat and listened to tunes whilst they socialised together, including some new clients which was a great opportunity for them to meet their neighbours and make friends. Everyone was in really high spirits.

This was a great evening that brought everyone together and really made them feel a part of the community – great job team!

Another service in Portsmouth ended summer with a bang as they hosted a fantastic garden barbeque!

There was even a surprise visit from Sophie, a former support worker who always gave her all to ensuring that her clients had the best opportunities to reach a brighter future. It’s no surprise that everyone was absolutely buzzing to see her again.

There’s nothing better than enjoying some great food with even better company!

More clients in Portsmouth rolled into autumn with a barbeque.

This was very well received, and various clients attended at different points throughout the day.

The food went down very well, and the clients engaged in some great conversations.

The final barbeque of the season was held at the Day Centre in Southampton. Everyone was in for a treat when our fabulous volunteer Ian grilled up a storm on the barbeque.

Lots of clients (and even a pooch) got involved to help Ian make this an event to remember.

It’s so great to see everyone feeling welcome and enjoying themselves!
