We turn 25 years old this month, and what better way to celebrate than by sharing some of our happiest news from the month? Here’s your Happy Headlines for April!

The team at the Lee-on-the-Solent Tennis Club have been doing some incredible work in support of our Day Centre Fundraising campaign.

Four members of the club participated in a 7-day fast to raise funds for Two Saints. They went without any solid food for a week, consuming just water, electrolytes, and black tea and coffee while still working, coaching, and going about their usual activities.

The club then held a bingo night to raise more funds. With all their fundraising efforts combined, the club managed to raise an astounding £3,105!

This is such an amazing outcome, and we couldn’t be more grateful for their support.

Our fabulous Newbury service recently had a lovely visit from Winnie the therapy dog!

Winnie is part of a charity called Pets As Therapy (PAT), who partner with schools, hospitals, care homes and community groups to bring the comfort, companionship and joy of a therapy pet visit to those who need it most.

16 clients were able to meet with Winnie, and give her the cuddles she so rightfully deserved. Our support worker, Toni, said that the clients loved her, and it was so great to see them smiling.

Our brilliant recovery worker Sophie set sail and took two of her clients to the Portsmouth Historic Dockyard recently for some educational fun in the sun!

Sophie and her clients spent the day exploring the HMS Victory and learning all about Portsmouth’s naval history.

Both Sophie and the clients had a fantastic day out,

The wonderful team at the Town Quay Starbucks in Southampton have been working hard recently collecting donations for us to distribute across our services.

The team said that they are passionate about helping people and making a real positive difference in their community.

Together, they managed to collect over five bags full of clothes, winter coats, blankets, and food with more still on the way!

Thank you so much to Ash and her team for their brilliant initiative, we are incredibly grateful for their support.

Some green-fingered staff and clients at our Goldsmith Avenue service have been working on their very own vegetable patch!

Here’s some of our clients working together to plant some onions.

Our mental health recovery assistant, Elliot, is hoping to involve more clients and plant even more seeds as the weather gets a little bit warmer.

Blooming fantastic work from everyone involved!

The team at the Day Centre welcomed representatives from Bristol City Football Club as they donated loads of food and drink items.

The Club also lent a hand to the Day Centre team during the lunchtime rush, making sure that around 40 clients were fed and watered.

Thank you so much to the Club for this fantastic donation – we all know that keeping the centre well-stocked is vital to supporting our clients in the area, and initiatives like this one make a world of difference to them.

Here’s the team looking very happy with their goodies!

Jeanette, one of our Portsmouth clients, designed our commemorative logo for our 25th anniversary.

We loved Jeanette’s idea of incorporating leaves into the design, and it brought us in mind of how our support helps our clients to grow and develop their skills.

Jeanette has received a £10 Tesco voucher as a reward, which she can’t wait to spend on more art supplies so that she can continue her creative endeavors. Here she with the final design looking very proud of herself – and rightfully so!
